Warranty extension
A time-tracking terminal runs around the clock, every day of the year. Datafox puts the service life of its devices at more than 15 years in most cases, far longer than the standard warranty runs. That is what the warranty extension is for: you cover your Datafox terminal beyond the early years and know up front what it costs. It is taken out with the manufacturer, and we handle the request for you.
Two years as standard
Datafox gives two years of manufacturer warranty on every terminal, at no extra cost and without you having to do anything.
Up to seven years in total
The two standard years can be extended by up to five more. You choose the term freely, it does not have to be five years at once.
Only within the first two years
You can still extend after the purchase, but only within the first two warranty years. So ask early, then you keep the choice.
What it costs
2.5 percent of the eligible device value per year. Book five years at once and it is 2 percent per year, which makes the fifth year free.
What counts and what is covered
The base unit and most built-in options, for example the LAN module and the RFID reader. Parts from other manufacturers are excluded, such as the power supply, which Datafox cannot cover.
A worked example
At 800 euros of eligible device value that is 20 euros a year. Five years at once cost 16 euros a year, 80 euros in total for seven years of warranty.
