Datafox: our partner for the hardware

The terminals on your wall come from Datafox, a German manufacturer in the Thuringian Rhön. The connection to your software comes from us.

Datafox GmbH has been developing and producing systems for electronic data capture for over 25 years. The company is based in Geisa in the Thuringian Rhön, and that is where development and manufacturing take place.

Together with more than 750 qualified cooperation partners in Germany and across Europe, this becomes solutions for personnel time recording, access control, operating and machine data capture and vehicle identification. ananas.codes e. K., the company behind conni, is one of those partners.

A partnership that holds

We have been working with Datafox since 2021. Not as a reseller, but as a software partner who sees the devices in use every day. We set them up, test transponders, handle repairs and also see the terminal again that is still booking cleanly after years in the dust of a workshop.

The fact that Datafox sells exclusively through partners is not a detour, it is the reason this works. We know the devices, Datafox knows us, and when something is unclear the route is short.

Both from Germany

Datafox develops and manufactures in Geisa, conni runs on servers in Germany. For you that means: a manufacturer that genuinely exists and can be reached, short delivery routes, a German-speaking contact on both sides and no data processing outside the EU.

  • Development and manufacturing at the company site in Geisa, Thuringia
  • Quality management to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015
  • Member of the BHE German Association for Security Technology
  • Supported by the Free State of Thuringia from European Social Fund resources
  • Sales centres in Germany, the Netherlands and Austria

Who does what

Datafox describes itself as a “pure supplier to software manufacturers and system houses”. That is not a gap in the range, it is a decision: Datafox builds hardware and leaves the software to those who build software. That is exactly where we come in.

Datafox builds the hardware

Terminals, access readers, electronic locking cylinders, industrial PCs. Developed and manufactured at the company site in Geisa. Datafox deliberately does not supply time management software with them.

conni builds the connection

We collect the bookings from the terminals and hand them over to your time management, your ERP or your payroll. Without that step, the data stays in the device.

MEINDENTIST: 20 terminals, one fingerprint

MEINDENTIST runs 14 sites in Berlin and Potsdam with more than 500 employees. Because colleagues frequently move between sites, everyone would have had to enrol their fingerprint on all 20 terminals, and Personio provides no central fingerprint management. That is what the FingerprintSync module was built for: enrol once, distributed to every terminal in encrypted form.

Rahn Education: a new site, a single order

Rahn Education is a non-profit education group with more than 40 institutions in Germany, Egypt, Italy and Poland, around 1,100 staff and over 8,000 learners. When a new site opens, a single order is enough: the terminal arrives in the corporate design, preconfigured and already connected to Timebutler. Transponder values can be entered in advance, before the devices are even on site.
